Radio Disney announced June 28, 2010, that they have cast Daphne to play the lead in their new radio serial “My Dream.” The 20-episode first season, which debuts July 5, follows Kayla, played by Daphne, as she tries to pursue a dream of becoming a singer and songwriter. During the course of "My Dream," Kayla composes an original song and tries to overcome stage fright. Her parents, older brother, best friend and music teacher also are featured in the little plays. A new episode debuts each weekday at 9:25 AM ET on Radio Disney. Listeners who miss them can hear the 90-second episodes later on the station's website or via mobile phone.

Daphne Blunt’s other TV and film credits include CBS’s “Young and the Restless,” Nickelodeon’s “Brain Surge,” Lifetime’s movie “Amish Grace,” Disney.com’s “Solution Street,” and Nickelodeon’s “Big Time Rush.” She stars in the indie film “The Things You Lose in the Ocean,” premiering in 2010, and the TV Pilot “My Daddy is the President.” Daphne has appeared in numerous national TV commercials, including Disney Interactive and Kmart’s 2009 Back to School Series.
Daphne is also the new singing sensation with her hit songs “Crush Rush” and “Rock n Roll,” and a finalist with “Crush Rush” in the 2009 International Songwriting Competition. Crush Rush was the NUMBER 1 Teen Song in the ISC's People's Choice voting. A screenwriter as well, her TV Pilot “Beverly Hills Gonna Bees” is in production.
